Refund Policy
Hookset rods are covered by a limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and covers manufacturing defects that occur during normal fishing use.
If a rod is found to have a manufacturing defect, Hookset will repair or replace the rod at our discretion.
What the Warranty Covers
The warranty covers:
Manufacturing defects in the blank
Faulty guide installation
Defective reel seats
Construction errors
What the Warranty Does NOT Cover
Fishing rods are precision tools and can be damaged through misuse or accidents. The following are not covered under warranty:
Impact damage
Rods broken due to high-sticking
Accidental breakage
Damage from dropping or stepping on the rod
Damage during transportation not reported immediately
Improper storage or misuse
Damage caused by fighting fish beyond the intended rod rating may also void warranty coverage.
Accident Replacement Program
If your rod is broken due to accidental damage, Hookset may offer an accident replacement discount depending on the situation.
This allows customers to replace a damaged rod at a reduced cost.
Customers are responsible for shipping costs.

Hookset will review the claim and provide instructions for the next steps.
Shipping for Warranty Claims
Customers are responsible for shipping rods to Hookset for inspection unless otherwise stated.
All rods should be packaged securely in a protective rod tube to prevent additional damage during shipping.
Custom Rod Build Policy

Hookset specializes in custom-built fishing rods designed for performance and personal preference. Because each rod is built specifically for the customer, special policies apply to custom orders.
Custom Rod Orders
When ordering a custom rod, customers may select options such as:
Rod length
Power and action
Handle material
Guide configuration
Thread colors and decorative wraps
Once the build specifications are confirmed, construction of the rod will begin.
Order Changes
Custom rod orders cannot be modified once construction has started.
Customers are responsible for ensuring all specifications are correct before confirming their order.
Cancellations
Custom rod orders may only be cancelled before the build process begins.
Once work has started, cancellations are no longer possible because materials and labour have already been invested in the build.
Returns
Because custom rods are built specifically for the customer:
Custom rod orders are non-refundable unless there is a manufacturing defect.

Hookset will always aim to complete orders as quickly as possible while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Craftsmanship
Every Hookset rod is built by hand with careful attention to detail. Minor cosmetic variations may occur due to the handcrafted nature of custom rod building.
These variations do not affect performance or durability.
